Hospitality Design Exposition and Conference

The 2009 Hospitality Design Exposition and Conference - known as HD Expo - was held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Sands Expo & Conference Center from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16. Despite lower attendance than in recent years, all show attendees and exhibitors were engaged during the three-day conference to participate in the numerous opportunities available to learn, network, and share ideas about the industry. In addition, the 1,000 companies who exhibited showcased a plethora of new domestic and international product designs exclusive for the hospitality market.

While visiting with dozens of companies on the HD show floor, Kleber & Associates (K&A) believed the most notable booths included:

SEURA – manufacturer of LCD television mirrors and illuminated mirrors showcased its new The ONE 19 inch LCD Television mirror. Very hot!

SOSS – displayed the “doorknob of the future” with the UltraLatch considered the most ADA friendly lockset available.

Top Knobs – offered numerous bathroom accessories including a new Brushed Bronze finish option that was truly amazing.

Suite Simplicity – had a large booth where the company debuted its new Outdoor furniture collection including an Outdoor Chaise lounge with the option for an umbrella and also a Bird Nest lounge. Both products were very sleek in style and design.

Peachtree Lighting – interior, energy efficient lighting company who demonstrated its wide breath of experience for the Medial industry while also offering its decorative line of lighting products

BACI by Remcraft – launched several new upscale LED Make-Up and Shaving vanity top mirrors and wall mounted swing arm mirrors.

Gerber Plumbing Fixtures (Danze booth) – introduced its new modern Wicker Park Bathroom suite including a 1.28 high efficiency toilet and low flow faucet.

Enkeboll Designs – revealed a new contemporary Wood Panel Series available for all natural hardwoods.

InterfaceFLOR – presented its new sleek carpet tiles that are unique and innovative to the industry.

Hakatai – showcased its new glass mosaic tiles at affordable price points.

Overall, K&A thinks the HD Expo is a well organized conference where industry professionals are engaged and informed. We look forward to the Hospitality Design 2010 held again in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 19 – 21, 2010.
