STEVE KLEBER JOINS EXPERT PANEL AT HOMEX 2007

Selling and Marketing to the New Chief Purchasing Officer

HOMEX 2007 brought together many of the homebuilding industry’s shining stars for a three-day Summit & Expo, March 13 – 15, in Long Beach, Calif. Steve Kleber, president of Kleber & Associates, joined an esteemed panel of industry experts to tackle the subject of Innovative Marketing Strategies for Challenging Times

HOMEX 2007Mr. Kleber educated the audience on the emergence of the alpha female as the new chief purchasing officer in American homes. This powerful new group of purchasers is making a large imprint on the home design and products channel.  It is women between the ages of 25 and 54 who own the sweet spot of prime earning and spending power, estimated at an annual $1.4 trillion. No matter what your product or service, these women are your key audience.

Coining the term “multi-minding,” this group of smart, savvy women are constantly thinking about and preparing for the various activities in their lives including work, home and family concerns. Traditional marketing techniques tend to be less effective on today’s alpha female so the need for companies to embrace innovative new practices to reach this audience is of the utmost importance.

HOMEX 2007 sought to give companies expert advice and guidance to better navigate today’s tough housing market.  With specialized tracts covering Land Acquisition and Finance, Density by Design, the “Ins and Outs” of Sustainability, Leveraging Media Coverage for Buyer Confidence and Increased Sales, Building for Baby Boomers, the Power of Pre-Sales, Best Practices and more, HOMEX provided attendees with a chance to learn practical, real-world business solutions in an interactive setting.
