The International Builders’ Show (IBS), Feb. 7 – 10, was an incredible success as K&A represented its clients at the four-day show in Orlando, Fla.
IBS is the largest annual light construction show in the world with more than 1.5 million gross feet of the absolute latest in building products and services that the industry has to offer—think of it as opening day on Wall Street with approximately 100,000 builders!
This year the show featured many home products centered on “green products,” mold prevention, and weather proofing options including roofing shingles and tiles, and wind resistant doors and windows. “Sustainability” and “durability” were the buzz words during IBS. Many companies also brought to market products that help maximize environmental safety during manufacturing.
Koma Trim Products garnered heavy media attention at IBS. Their newly renovated booth was a buzz of activity, mostly focused around the KOMA 2006 Building Professional of the Year Winner, Peter Luciani. He was on hand daily to answer questions and share best practices with attendees and the media. He also discussed new interior uses for KOMA products during the show.
Construction Solutions, one of K&A’s newest Client Partners, launched its DBX1000-M, a dryer vent receptacle designed to save space and increase laundry room safety in single and multi-family construction. The DBX1000-M, which features a patented snap-on trim ring, impressed builders with its clean look and easy installation that is unmatched by any of its competitors.
In line with the show’s main “green” theme, VitrA showcased EverGreen, its new line of water conserving toilets for the home. The new products include VitrA’s 1.2 gpf Gravity Flush HET (high efficiency toilet). Each of the four toilets: the 1.2 gpf Gravity Flush HET, Dual Flush 0.8/1.6 gpf round front HET, Dual Flush 0.8/1.6 gpf elongated HET, and 1.0 gpf Pressure Assist HET, were on a flushing display at VitrA’s booth.
During the show, VitrA sought to educate builders and homeowners on the importance of water conservation and the preservation of the natural environment. The new EverGreen toilet offerings consisting of several styles and designs further enabled the company to accomplish this mission.
“We are very satisfied with the results at IBS,” said Shannon Kahlbaum, Building Products Group Lead and PR Account Executive for K&A. “This is a very important show for our clients, and we are very happy with the amount of attendee traffic and media coverage at each of our clients’ exhibits.”
