FREE Industry White Paper
Kleber & Associates’ steadfast commitment to the exploration of consumer behavior and to the forward movement of the home and building industries has led the team to participate as both a vital contributor to noted industry publications and a prominent force at key trade events each year. Check out what K&A has been up to most recently.
Think Global, Act Local: Reaching for a greener tomorrow.
The Kleber & Associates green team has been on the move to learn more about maintaining sustainability in all aspects of business. Last month, the team participated at the annual GreenBuild International Conference & Expo. After arriving to the conference in a HYBRID taxi, K&A felt a strong eco-vibe from the city of Boston. With approximately 29,000 professionals in attendance at the new Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the USGBC Greenbuild event nearly doubled in size from last year. The three-day jam-packed show was filled with innovative products covering a huge exhibition floor and wealth of educational seminars to attend. The team was excited to explore the breadth of sustainable solutions at the show from natural products for home design to advanced systems and components for residential and commercial construction.
K&A’s next stop on the trade show circuit will be to the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. With only 48 days until the big event, the entire team is eager to see what the industry has in store. Slated to feature hundreds of companies exhibiting green products as well are traditional building materials and systems, the 2009 show should provide more insight than ever into the growing need for sustainability in the home and in commercial building. Be sure to check out our daily recap from the show floor at www.kleberandassociates.com.
Green is our favorite color at K&A. New this year is K&A’s first microsite solely dedicated to being green. Recently launched, www.kagreenteam.com, is the place to find compelling information that will lead our clients and industry partners and more forward in the business of green.
The “Big Apple” brings big opportunity
In-person media tours continue to be an effective tool for gaining a better understanding of how the media views a product or service… and to help achieve comprehensive earned media coverage. During K&A’s fourth quarter trip to New York, the team met with some of the most influential consumer media in the world including editors from LoftLife, Signature Kitchens & Baths, This Old House, Woman’s Day, Ty Pennington at Home, Country Living, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, among others. As the New Year quickly approaches, K&A is nearing completion on our next research project. The study defines the emerging group of retired urban professionals known as “Ruppies” who are shaping the future of society. This demographic is defying the standards set by their counterparts by living their lives on their own terms and eschewing typecasts associated with retirement. Creating a paradigm shift, today’s mature adults are declining large, single-family homes and setting the new model for life after retirement, opting for an urban oasis close to the action of city life.
