Boise, Idaho — Boise Cascade Company, headquartered in Boise, Idaho, has released improvements to the cloud-based version of its popular BC CALC sizing software. Construction designers have relied on the software for more than a decade to simplify engineered wood product specification, and this new cloud-based release will improve accessibility, flexibility, and convenience.
BC CALC sizing software helps designers determine the optimum structural members required to meet code requirements and an economical solution. Users simply enter the member geometry, add loads, holes and other relevant data, and then select a product for analysis. Through easy-to-read reports, the program helps users identify which of Boise Cascade’s engineered wood products and dimension lumber meet the demands of the application.
Now available as a cloud-based application, BC CALC can be used on Windows or Apple operating systems via Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome or Safari browsers. Additionally, iOS and Android tablets are now supported. This next generation redesigned interface allows designers to determine the best member size wherever they have Internet access.
