Affordable, High-End Faucet Provides a Sensorial Experience, Saves Energy

LOS ANGELES (April 2013) –Altmans, a leading manufacturer of high-end, custom designed products that are accessible to the most selective design tastes, unveils its new Aqueduct LED bathroom faucet. The Aqueduct generates its own power, which in turn, stimulates the LED to sense and signal water temperature. Unlike other units that have color presets, the Aqueduct’s LED temperature sensor can tell whether the water is cold or hot, and then changes the color accordingly.

“Function meets beauty with our new Aqueduct LED bathroom faucet. The faucet generates its own power which means no batteries or plugs are required, so consumers know they are utilizing an energy efficient product,” said Andrew Schor, national marketing manager, Altmans. “What’s even better? We’ve manufactured an affordable, high-end product that is accessible to everyone.”

The Aqueduct LED bathroom faucet is designed for easy operation and utilizes elements of safety, as users will see the temperature signal before placing hands underneath the faucet. The water pressure powers the Aqueduct LED thermometer which then illuminates different colors to signal the actual water temperature: A red light signals hot temperature; a deep, blue light signals cold water; and a soft purple light signals a warm temperature.

The Aqueduct bathroom faucet is WaterSense certified offering water at 1.5 gallons per minute (gpm) as compared to the industry standard 2.2 gpm. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), WaterSense labeled products are about 20 percent more water efficient and perform better than their less efficient counterparts in the same category. The Acqueduct LED bathroom faucet is constructed with low lead, solid brass. Manufacturers’ suggested retail price is under 600 dollars.
