CertainTeed to introduce Matterhorn® Metal Roofing line to Canada in Q1 2019

For immediate release: February 8, 2019

(MALVERN, Pa.) — CertainTeed, a leading North American manufacturer of building materials, will showcase its expanded metal roofing line and high-quality asphalt shingle products at booth 1937 during the 2019 International Roofing Expo (IRE), taking place Feb. 11-13, 2019 at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Being announced at the expo is the introduction of CertainTeed’s luxurious Matterhorn® Metal Roofing line to Canadian markets, which will take place during the first quarter of 2019.

According to Dale Walton, roofing product manager for CertainTeed, the demand for metal roofing has increased significantly due to its weather resistance, longevity and solar-reflective color options.

“We are excited to finally bring this product to all of North America,” said Walton. “Our contractor and distributor partners in Canada have been patiently waiting for this expansion because they understand how well received it will be by homeowners.”

Matterhorn Metal Roofing utilizes mottling, chiseling and other techniques to replicate the look and charm of real wood shake, quarried slate and traditional clay tile roofing, in a deep-drawn steel format that is lightweight, fully recyclable and energy-efficient.

Additionally, CertainTeed will showcase a selection of popular designer and luxury asphalt roofing products, including NorthGate® — an SBS-modified asphalt shingle offering Class 4 impact resistance and cold-weather flexibility for low-temperature-friendly installation; Belmont® — a multilayered, high-performing luxury shingle that replicates the look of natural slate without the prohibitive price tag; and the Landmark® Series, CertainTeed’s best-selling shake replica line.

Other featured products include CertainTeed’s asphalt-shingle- and concrete-tile-integrated solar roofing systems, Apollo® II and Apollo Tile II; as well as its self-adhering SBS-modified bitumen, low-slope roofing solution, Flintlastic® SA, capable of being installed in temperatures as low as 20°F with the use of a hot air welder.

Finally, CertainTeed Commercial Roofing Product Manager Abby Feinstein will present findings from the white paper “Factors Impacting Low-Slope Roofing Costs: A National Labor Study” on Feb. 13 from 7:45-9:15 a.m. in Room WE09 of the Music City Center. The findings are based on a five-year study conducted by independent building envelope consulting firm Trinity | ERD to help contractors optimize labor efficiency across all commercial roof covering types. More information about the study can be found at booth 1937 of the expo or at  www.certainteed.com/laborstudy.
