Quick-Connect® Termination Post and 45 Degree Base Plate Cover bring added versatility to DesignRail® system
OAKLAND, Calif. – April 13, 2020 – Feeney, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high quality stainless steel and aluminum railing systems, has introduced the Quick-Connect® Termination Post and 45 Degree Base Plate Cover, the newest additions to the brand’s DesignRail® aluminum railing system.
The Quick-Connect® Termination Post features Feeney’s patented automatic-locking Quick-Connect® fittings, which are pre-loaded into a strip that is embedded within the post and secured via a lock ring at each fitting for a low-profile aesthetic. The 316 marine-grade stainless steel fittings are fully isolated, eliminating the need for additional bushings while significantly reducing the risk of corrosion.

In addition, the posts can be used for unique termination conditions, providing extra flexibility.”
Available for all standard DesignRail® configurations with CableRail infill, the termination post comes in 36-inch, 38-inch and 42-inch heights and is compatible with Base Mount, Stanchion Mount and Fascia Mount applications. It can be used with or without a bottom rail, and stair and newel post configurations are available. Additionally, the post will accommodate any tensioner fitting on the other end, including Feeney’s Conceal Tensioner. The post can function as a “center” post for two sets of cables on long runs of up to 140 feet (70 feet max, each side), and can be used with Feeney’s CableRail kits without Quick-Connect® fittings (6200 NQC-series).
Feeney has also launched the 45 Degree Base Plate Cover for DesignRail®, a two-piece, fastener-free cover that conceals the lag screw heads and post base plate to provide a seamless finish. Designed to fit over the DesignRail® 45-degree base plate, the cover is powder-coated to match DesignRail® colors, along with custom hues. The easy-to-install cover includes connection joints in the corners for enhanced aesthetics and accommodates larger heads on fasteners, such as expansion anchors or larger diameter lags and bolts.
