John Guest expands North American footprint as newest RWC brand
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – September 17, 2019 – John Guest® – the newest member of the Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC) family of brands and a world-leading manufacturer of high-quality engineered push-fit fittings, valves and LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) tubing – will showcase the latest in push-fit technology April 23-25 in Las Vegas at the 2019 Water Quality Association (WQA) Conference and Exposition. StreamLabs®, another RWC brand, will also introduce its StreamLabs Control valve, a smart home device offering 24/7 water monitoring, leak protection and automatic shutoff functionality.
The expo will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, located at 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89109. John Guest and StreamLabs will showcase their innovations at booth 1001 (the John Guest booth) of the expo.
John Guest, a leader in the European plumbing and potable and soft water accessories market for decades, was acquired by RWC in the second quarter of 2018. According to Maribel Pagan, director of marketing for John Guest, the WQA Conference and Expo will be an opportunity showcase its quick-connect fittings and tubing for reverse osmosis systems and other water quality applications.
“John Guest has long been a leader in tubing and plastic push-fit fittings for pure water, potable liquid and food quality applications in European markets,” said Pagan. “Our designation as an RWC company magnifies our influence in the US and opens the door to expanded product offerings for niche builders and original equipment manufacturers looking for reliable water quality solutions. We’re excited to show the US water quality market what we can do.”
John Guest has an array of connectors, elbows, tees and dividers for a variety of water and air filtration applications. Devices featured at WQA include John Guest polypropylene and acetal fittings; the best-selling John Guest Speedfit™ Angle Stop Valve, which provides an extra line off of an existing stop; the John Guest Plastic Half Cartridge, which provides a quick, efficient and easy way of securing push-in connections into a wide variety of original equipment; and John Guest Twist and Lock male and elbow connectors.
StreamLabs offers “Leak Protection at Your Fingertips” with smart devices that help homeowners prevent water damage and accurately monitor their water use. StreamLabs will offer expo visitors a special look at the StreamLabs Control valve, its newest product offering 24/7 leak protection and automatic shutoff functionality. The device uses ultrasonic technology and advanced sensors to measure water flow rate, water pressure, air and water temperature and other indicators, providing real-time notifications and freeze warnings. The valve can be opened and closed remotely using the StreamLabs smart device app or automatically in the event of a leak. With Nest and Alexa integration options, StreamLabs Control gives homeowners complete control of their water from anywhere.
