ARCHBOLD, Ohio (March 11, 2024) – Ohio-based Sauder Cabinetry and Sauder Closets, both divisions of Sauder Woodworking, are thrilled by the positive reception that greeted them at the International Builders Show. The International Builders Show ran from February 27 through 29 in Las Vegas and it attracted thousands of design and construction professionals from across North America.
Both divisions debuted new products to enthusiastic enthusiastic responses. While at IBS, Sauder Cabinetry unveiled the brand new Evolve™ collection, a rebranding of its existing collection as ForeRunner™ and new, coordinated Floating Shelves. Not to be outdone, Sauder Closets showed many new products and a brand new, three-day training closets training program.
Sauder Cabinetry Unveils Evolve, the Next Step in Frameless Cabinetry
Sauder Cabinetry introduced its new product line, Evolve, at IBS. Evolve was years in development and is an unparalleled collection that embodies sophistication, durability and cutting-edge design. Sauder Cabinetry has created Evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of developers, builders and contractors alike.
Evolve features fully-assembled, frameless, full access cabinets with slab doors and drawer fronts. All hinges are six-way adjustable and color matched molding and trim are available for a complete installation.
“Two years ago we started to develop this new line and it was exciting to see the response we got at the show,” said Jonathan Zublena, Executive Vice President of Sauder Building Products. “We developed Evolve cabinetry to meet market preferences for cleaner modern lines and more woodgrain finishes. It looks and feels like a premium product even though it’s priced for builders. Evolve doesn’t just look great, it’s so well-built it will last for years and years.”
Forerunner: a New Identity for a Timeless Legacy
Sharing the spotlight with Evolve, Sauder Cabinetry also introduced their rebranded existing product line, ForeRunner. Sauder’s committed to future advancements in builder grade cabinetry and the new name emphasis that.
The Sauder name is synonymous with reliability and quality and with this rebranding, Sauder Cabinetry reinforces its dedication to evolving with the industry while maintaining the core values that have made Sauder a trusted choice for more than 85 years.
Also debuting at IBS this year are coordinated floating shelves, available in all finishes, for both lines. For more information about Evolve and ForeRunner, please visit saudercabinetry.com.
Sauder Closets Unveiled More Than 20 New Innovations at IBS
Sauder Closets showcased its latest innovations and product developments at IBS 2024. IBS attendees saw new components, new finishes and learned more about Sauder’s commitment to bringing top-of-the-line products to market.
Aiming to further diversify its offerings, Sauder introduced two new finishes for its closet line – Ashton Oak and Modern Grey – that complement its current finishes Glacier White, Spiced Mahogany and Slate Rift.
Another major highlight Sauder showcased is the change in its drawer design. Moving from side-mount to undermount soft-close slides, the new drawers provide enhanced durability and a smoother user experience.
According to Chad Arndt, National Sales Manager, “We created a process for our cabinetry division, where we rethought how a drawer gets put together and then we built a machine to do it. Essentially, we build a drawer with a half-inch drawer bottom in it and then it’s fully wrapped. It’s a very robust drawer. ”
In addition to these innovations, Sauder Closets also debuted:
- New glass doors and lighting options
- Matte Black hardware
- New, modern tab style handles in gold, chrome and matte black
- New sizes/parts
- 96” tall uprights in 19” and 24” expanded depths
- New Hutch depths
- Adjustable and fixed shelves in 19” and 24” depths
- 96” tall doors
- 18” wide doors
- New MasterTrac® finishes
Sauder also drummed up support for its new Closets Training Program for dealers serious about building a closets business. The program is an intense, three-day seminar held on site in the Archbold plant’s training center. Check the Sauder Closets website for a look at all of these new innovations and a schedule of upcoming training events.
