Brand named winner of 2017 NAHB Spark Award and finalist for 2018 Best of IBS Award

ATLANTA – Jan. 8, 2018 – Reliance Worldwide Corporation (ASX:RWC), a premier manufacturer of plumbing and water control systems market and distributed under the SharkBite® Plumbing Solutions, Cash Acme® and HOLDRITE® brands, has announced that the SharkBite EvoPEX plumbing system has been honored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Leading Suppliers Council with a 2017 Spark Award. The SharkBite EvoPEX system is also a finalist for the 2018 Best of the International Builders’ Show (IBS) Award in the Most Innovative Building Product category.

This system is an evolutionary push-to-connect plumbing system for new construction that extends beyond the traditional pipe-and-fitting solutions to be inclusive of fittings, PEX pipe, outlet boxes, valves and other accessories needed to install a complete plumbing system from meter to fixture. Plumbers, installers and building professionals are able to plumb without needing special tools, soldering, crimping or glue. As a result, efficiencies are increased and the risk of installation errors is minimized.

“Our goal is to provide the plumbing trade with industry-revolutionizing solutions that improve jobsite efficiency and performance,” said Sean McClenaghan, CEO, Reliance Worldwide Corporation USA. “We are excited to be recognized for our commitment to innovation and to making the jobs of plumbing professionals easier.”

The annual Spark Award honors the most innovative members of the NAHB Leading Suppliers Council. Award recipients are chosen based on superior knowledge and expertise in developing cutting edge products and services, progressive outlook and demeanor, and willingness to push the envelope by bringing to market offerings that enhance building quality and livability.

Now in its sixth year, the Best of IBS Awards recognize the building industry’s most exciting new products. This year, a panel of 27 independent judges, including building industry and media professionals, evaluated more than 300 entries on innovation, functionality and design qualities.

The Spark Award winner was announced at the annual supplier’s reception event at The New American Home® in Orlando on Sunday, Jan. 7. Best of IBS winners in nine categories, along with the Best in Show award, will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 3 p.m. at the IBS Live booth (S218).
