The K&A team participated at The International Woodworking Fair (IWF) this past week… and we’re pleased to report that the show was alive with innovative new products and palpable channel confidence.

The woodworking industry clearly didn’t pause during the past two years — as significant cabinetry and organized living introductions took center stage — showcased in more than 900 exhibits and experienced by some 45,000 attendees.

Several important themes emerged, including the need for clever solutions to optimize storage and convenience space within living environments… especially as audiences continue to spend more time at home. Allowing them to re-evaluate the efficiency of their floorplans, with numerous solutions that help maximize space in kitchens, bathrooms and closets.

Solutions targeting the “work-from-home” trend — and need for multitasking areas — were prominent. Several brands highlighted products that make it easy to convert existing surfaces, and then “hide away” those workspaces when not being used.

Our team’s “Best of Show” award for IWF 2022 was unanimous… Richelieu’s Qanto Corner Solution. Focused on utilizing hard-to-reach areas — including corner kitchen cabinets and island end cabinets — this intelligent plug-and-play system allows two storage trays to be silently lifted up and down… all at the push of a button. The Qanto Corner Solution can hold up to 55 pounds, making it an ideal space-saving solution for heavy mixers and other countertop appliances. “Where have you been all my life?” was overheard, as our team welcomed the elegant simplicity of this dramatic and innovative solution.

Watch our short highlights video to see just a few of IWF 2022’s most noteworthy offerings.
